(Discipline & Conduct)
- Every pupil should be present at the assembly held in the morning.
- The students should wear the school uniform, socks, and shoes daily. Special attention must be paid to his/her cleanliness and neatness.
- Students should be regular and punctual in attending the school.
- Students suffering from a contagious disease will not be admitted to the class. Separate rooms will be provided during the examination days.
- Students will not be sent home before time, except on a written request from the parent and only for very special and genuine reasons.
- Parents should check daily the homework written in the student’s handbook.
- Parents are requested to make all general complaints directly to the school authorities and not to the teachers.
- Parents, guardians, or any other persons are not allowed to see students or interview their teachers during school hours without the permission of the Head Mistress/Principal.
- Private tuitions are discouraged. The staff of this school cannot accept offers for tuition.
- Students and parents are not allowed to give any personal gifts to teachers.
- Birthday celebration, Birthday dress, and sweet distribution are not allowed in school.
- The student who causes any damage in or out of the school premises must pay a fine of a minimum of Rs. 500/- or the total cost of the property.
- The school is not responsible for any article or money lost. It is not advisable for students to bring large sum of money or valuable articles with them to school.
- All the pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct in and outside the school. Any objectionable conduct reported or observed as well as irregular attendance should make them liable to disciplinary action.
- Attend class regularly and learn to concentrate during the lesson. Clarify your doubts and clear all misconceptions in class. This will help you to study better at home.
- Be honest and sincere with yourself, with God, and with others. Avoid doing anything not worthy of a child of GOD and a student of CARMEL “No legacy is so rich as honesty.”
- Respect the belongings of others. Do not damage his/her books of what belongs to him/her. Just as you would like others to respect you, do the same for others.”
- Remember the school is yours. It belongs to each of us. Do not damage any property or write on the walls. Keep it clean. Be proud of your school.
- Keep yourself neat and clean, remembering that cleanliness is next to godliness. Prepare your bag for school the previous night.
- Respect your parents, teachers, and elders. Speak to them politely. Honour and love them. Be gentle with those who are younger than you. Develop a friendly attitude to your companions.
- Be kind and compassionate to the poor and underprivileged.
- Do not give in to jealousy and pettiness. Be magnanimous. Forgive the wrong incurred and do not harbour revenge in your hearts. God will bless you a hundredfold if you are first to forgive an injury.
- Inform the school authorities of your absence from class. This is necessary and important. Try not to be absent more than 10 days in a year. Prolonged absence causes a break in your study and hampers your progress.
- Have the courage to speak the truth at all times. A wrong action can never be right.
- Do not give up in the face of failure. Try again and again. “If wealth is lost, nothing is lost, “If health is lost, something is lost, If character is lost, everything is lost.”
- English speaking is compulsory for all the students.
- As the school does not provide conveyance facilities, the parents have to make arrangements for the same.
- Students using motor vehicles is highly discouraged and under no circumstances will a student, not having a driving license, be permitted to come to school by motor vehicle.
